Made up of 9 professional musicians with a mission to do all they can to keep Bob Segers Music relevant and special to the younger generations. In the beginning they asked themselves, what would a great Bob Seger Tribute band Look like.
Here is an excerpt from Google of what Bob had to say about tributes and tribute bands.
“Positive view: Seger has shown appreciation for bands that cover his music, like Metallica, seeing it as a way to reach new listeners. This positive attitude extends to tribute bands that are passionate and respectful of the original music.
Authenticity is key: For a tribute to be well-received by Seger, it would need to be authentic. This includes accurately representing the music and having a respectful performance style.
Preserving music: Tribute bands help keep the music of legendary artists like Seger alive and accessible for fans who may have missed their original live shows or want to relive the experience.
For 7 years now with only a few changes to their lineup Simply Seger has made it their mission to deliver a concert style performance in the way it looks, the way it sounds, and with passion, and to do it with a much passion as they can bring to it, all the time staying true to the song as possible. Most of setlist is based on live versions of the songs and are meant to capture those moments that made his fans rabid for his music. Tim Gazaway the Lead Singer who is a real look alike for Bob said
“ There is only one Bob Seger and its only my hope that I can bring people a few moments that hos songs capture a memory or make a new one. It is with great pride to step on stage and play his music. We are blessed to get to do that!”
Simply said, this show is a must see. They reminded me there are several Bob Seger Tribute bands out there as there are many for all artists that touched peoples souls. They say they have great respect for all of them and hope they all get the same feelings performing these great songs.
Finally I asked how long Tim saw Simply Seger continuing and he for as long as we are healthy and we have the same desire to do this right for Bob. We never have met him but he has touched each of one way pr another. We will feature our stories this year on our website on what songs het us hard that we play and the stories behind them.
